Tom Brady has perfect response to talk of tossing the Stanley Cup
You’ll recall that quarterback Tom Brady had a really good time at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl boat parade, which included him tossing the Lombardi Trophy to another vessel that had Rob Gronkowski on it (thank goodness it was caught).
After the Stanley Cup was won for the second consecutive time by the Tampa Bay Lightning Wednesday in a 1-0 victory against the Montreal Canadiens in Game 5, the trophy – or whoever runs the 34.5-pound trophy’s Twitter account – got in front of any possibility of Brady tossing it during any parade in Florida.
So of course Brady had to respond, and as usual, it was a perfect tweet.
“Everything feels a bit lighter after some tequila,” he said.
