Georgia football offers pair of underclassmen DBs

The Georgia Bulldogs are always looking to add talented players on the recruiting trail. Kirby Smart and the Dawgs have the No. 1-ranked class of 2022 in the country.

Recently, Georgia offered a pair of underclassmen defensive backs scholarships in Derrick Maxey III and Jordon Johnson-Rubell.

Derrick Maxey III is a member of the class of 2023, who plays football for Hapeville Charter Career Academy. The 5-11, 175-pound defensive back is an unranked recruit at the moment.

The University of Georgia is the first SEC school to offer a scholarship to the cornerback and wide receiver prospect. Maxey III does have an offer from Morehouse College.

Maxey III announced his scholarship offer from Georgia via his Twitter account:

There is not much recruiting data available for Maxey III, but his highlights show that he is quite talented. The Hapeville defensive back is versatile, effective at taking on blocks, and is a stout run defender.
